The Forbes Funds has been thrilled to partner with maad labs to offer THREE "AI-Assisted, Humanity-Centered, Strategic Design in a Box" Cohorts, designed to help non-profit, for-profit, and government entities of all sizes harness the power of AI for greater impact.

Background on Cohort 1: AI-Assisted, Humanity-Centered, Strategic Design in a Box
Is your organization currently working through a wicked problem or complex issue?
This cohort is the smallest lift for organizations of all sizes, but is the most foundational - if you have not yet applied design thinking to how you could adopt AI, start here. Get access to and training on how to utilize strategic design templates (both digital and downloadable) to solve complex problems faster. In this applied training with online learning resources, you’ll learn to choose the right method to solve the right problem at the right time. Hands-on exercises will prepare you to utilize new ways of thinking and designing solutions while also learning how to facilitate these methods within your organization, supported by partners, and with the populations you serve.
Background on Cohort 2: Upskill/Reskill Development Leaders to Become More Effective with AI Assistance
Do you have campaigns, fundraisers, or development goals you’re looking to supercharge? Look to AI to fill the blanks SPECIFIC to your organization.
This cohort will empower you to create a purpose-built and internally-facing database of donor and funder questions that trains an AI assistant for your SPECIFIC organization to facilitate faster grant-making, better partnership discussions, and activates funders and donors in new and exciting ways. Sessions would include mastering the BRIC mindset and provocative and challenge-based methods of communicating in addition to utilizing AI to support and accelerate the creation of your best answers to your toughest development questions.
Background on Cohort 3: Hiring and Training your First AI Development Assistant (a.k.a. a digital employee)
How might you help your organization thrive with the support of artificial intelligence that knows you, your stakeholders, and your goals? How might you turn website inquiries into new donors and outreach across platforms to stronger partnerships by optimizing technology that is rooted in human reality and insitutional knowledge.
Incubate and train your organization's first digital employee, an externally-facing, development assistant that happens to be an ethical and accountable AI. This cohort is designed to wal you through onboarding an AI tool that will learn from the tone, culture, and voice of an organization and work to create additional capacity and organizational effectiveness when you don’t have the budget to hire a full (or even part-time) employee.
