Transforming Burnout in PermaCrisis: Part 2

The Collins Dictionary named “permacrisis” its 2022 Word of the Year. For nonprofit leaders, leading during such a time of constant, unrelenting volatility, conflict, and uncertainty is a recipe for burnout. This presentation begins a discussion about what leaders need during this time to show up well—not only for others but also themselves. Part 2 will follow in January 2024.

Learn more about the cohort here: https://lnkd.in/eZMXKPFe

This cohort will kick off January 2024 and run through July 2024 with weekly sessions held Fridays from 10:00 am - 11:30 am. The sessions will be a mix of both virtual meetings and in person connections. If you are interested in participating, please fill out the interest form: https://lnkd.in/eMeAMj9z

At this moment where racial equity is in the forefront of our national consciousness and conversation, we have an opportunity to ask: how can the institutions we lead become a part of the solution? ARC is a course, developed by research and design partners to do the following:

- Teach individuals the best practices for making an anti-racist institution
- Train and connect individuals in whole person ecosystems theory that move towards racial equity
- Develop a multi-sector place based framework for Anti Racist Belonging that can become adapted by institutions, governments, non-profits, and the private sector.

2024 is an Election Year!

maad labs is a do tank, not a think tank, that performs digital experiments, provides executive training, builds our own (largely AI/ML/Data) products, and consults with both venture-backed and large, multi-national companies bringing bold, audacious, and complex ideas, experiences, and technologies to market. We help organizations get future-proofed by leveraging impending technological disruptions.

Broadband Funding and Opportunities in SWPA

Thank you to our speakers, Jennifer Blatz, Program Director of the Greater Pittsburgh Digital Inclusion Alliance and John Timney, Executive Director of the Washington County Authority for an instructive session including funding opportunities, timelines, and logistical next steps for all organizations hoping to improve access to resources for their clients via digital infrastructure improvement.

As our speakers shared, there is a large influx of funding nationally and in Pennsylvania to update our broadband infrastructure via specific "shovel-ready" projects. Let's ensure SWPA gets the coverage our residents deserve since fast, accessible, wireless IS necessary to participate in society, access resources, and stay connected.
